Fine used. Less common cancellation. On a fine cover with a Melbourne town pmk on the front. This cover is addressed to Mrs Elizabeth Bagshawe, wife of The Rev. Edward Arthur Bagshawe, Vicar of Melbourne, Derbyshire. During the Victorian period it was common practice to address a clergyman's wife as "Mrs Bagshawe" and identify the household by adding her husband's title and name. The letter would have been delivered to the vicarage, where Rev. Bagshawe and his wife were prominent members of the local comm
