Fine used. Rarer plate and a very scarce cancellation. Four margins on entire. An official Poor Law Board Nomination Paper for the election of a Guardian of the Poor for the Parish of Nympsfield, Dursley Union, dated 23 March 1854. The form nominates Jacob Thomas, farmer of Nympsfield, as Guardian, and is signed by John Whitehill, a qualified ratepayer. Printed by authority for the Poor Law Board and General Board of Health, the document provides an excellent example of the administration of the Victorian
