GB QV 1870 1 1/2d Lake-Red Pl3 Z3 & SG166 Z33 NK FU Beyrout G06 on Piece
A very rare example of the Beirut G06 postmark on a line-engraved SG52 and a surface-printed SG166. The normal practice would have been to use a single surface-printed 2?d stamp to achieve the 2.5d letter rate, which was readily available in Beirut specifically for this rate. The 1?d SG52 was therefore most likely brought to Beirut by the person who used it, making this an unusual and particularly interesting combination. Fine used. On piece. No hidden faults.
